Taigh-dubh - Small Project Bag - Uist Wool & OMA Blue
Small Project Bag. Width of these bags is generally approx. 22cm at the widest point, depth is approx. 7cm and height is approx. 14cm.
Design is Taigh-dubh. Inspired by the stone walls of the Hebridean blackhouses of Harris and North Uist.
Outer fabric has been machine knit using Shetland wool from Canach wool from Uist Wool and Scottish wool (cheviot/zwartbles/hebridean) from Old Maiden Aunt Yarns. The fabric has then been washed using Ecover "Delicate Laundry Liquid" to remove the machine oil. Natural coloured lining fabric from Scottish Linen, Kirkcaldy, Fife. Reverse side of bag is made of Harris Tweed woven on the isle of Harris by Taobh Tuath Tweeds. For care instructions, please refer to label on bag.
All photographs are unedited. For further information on yarn colours, please refer to Jamieson’s of Shetland website, at www.jamiesonsofshetland.co.uk/
Please note that the photos are for illustrative purposes, though the bags are very similar and have an identical lining fabric.
