Save the Oblong Fern - Medium Project Bag - White & Fern Green

Medium Project Bag. Width of bag is approx. 30cm. Depth is approx. 10cm. Height is approx. 23.5cm. There is a 28cm zipper to secure the bag's contents. This bag size will hold up to two or three 100g skeins of DK wool, so it is suitable for a scarf or shawl project.

Design is Save the Oblong Fern. Inspired by the conservation work of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh to conserve the Scottish fern, the oblong woodsia (Woodsia ilvensis) which has been affected by over collection during the nineteenth century and climate change.

Outer fabric has been machine knit using undyed and plant dyed Shetland wool from Jamieson's of Shetland. The fabric has then been washed to remove the machine oil. Irish linen lining fabric from John Hanna near Kells, County Antrim in Northern Ireland.
